Now your short film is ready and you’re all set to submit it to festivals, willing to promote it and – why not! – to win some awards. As we hinted in a previous article, you need to prepare a good list of festivals you want to submit to.

But there are some things that can prevent you from being accepted

One of this things is sound: take good care of it, because you may be discarded if the dialogues are not clear.

Keep in mind that bad acting is another thing that can get you rejected. Choose your actors wisely.

If you feel that your film is not complete in every aspect, don’t send it. Other works will be “more ready” than yours and festival programmers will go straight to them.

Deal with these aspects or you will waste your money in submissions.
