In a world where wishes are granted by creatures that live under fountains, an apathetic wishgranter is forced to go above ground to grant a wish of love.

The imagination between this short film is absolutely amazing: the idea of having small beings living under fountains to grant our wishes is just brilliant. And so we have this wishgranter, bored and apathetic because he only receives money wishes; it seems that he’s losing faith in his job. When a small accident happens, caused by two people both looking for love at the same time, he is forced to go to the surface to fix the situation and finally grant the wish. THE WISHGRANTER is romantic with a pinch of action and some comedic scenes (the ones with the guy receiving loads of money) and is just so heartwarming and hopeful. Pretty short but also significative, there’s no problem in it being predictable: it is just the way it should be. It is nice that the two end up together in the ending and is amusing following the misadventures of the wishgranter, but what is really captive is the idea behind the film, the setting and the atmosphere it conveys.
