The 2021 edition of Amarcort Film Festival will be held from November 23rd to 28th. Due to the health emergency, it is still unsure if it will be online or in person.

Today, January 28th, has been opened the competition notice for the 2021 edition of the festival: it will be possible to submit short films on their FilmFreeway page. The submission fee is of 7$ until the regular deadline set on May 31st, then the amount will increase until the last deadline set on July 30th.

The competition notice has been opened concomitantly with Clermont-Ferrand market, in which Amarcort Film Festival will participate alongside festival friends in the Short Is Worth Delegation: CartoonClub from Rimini (Italy), CortoDorico from Ancona (Italy), Malta TV Short Film Festival from Malta.

Amarcort Film Festival also announces two new categories for this year’s edition:

  • Calzinazz, dedicated to short documentaries and reportages
  • MOViE, dedicated to dance and movement, for short films that use body language to express emotions or tell a story
