Fool’s Day is a dark comedy about a 4th grade class that pull an innocent, April Fool’s prank on their teacher…that accidentally kills her.

FOOL’S DAY is a really funny short film, while being pretty dark too. And comedy horror is not so easy to make, not as good as this film is. A 4th grade class accidentally kills their teacher while just trying to prank her for April Fool’s Day. After freaking out a bit, they decide to get away with murder and start working to cover their crime. Nobody wants to go to jail with no tv, no games and a lot of salad to eat, right? FOOL’S DAY is bloody funny! With amusing jokes, situations, characters, it develops the plot very well. Kid actors are really good, which also implies a good job by the director in directing so well young actors and making them believable. While some situations may be predictable, this short film just manages to have a good laugh and is able to surprise you nonetheless. When everything seem to be solved, the film gets tense again when the officer gets in the class and is prepared to drink the same coffee the teacher drank. The ending is amusing.

FOOL’S DAY won the Audience Award at Landshut Short Film Festival, the Golden Space Needle Award at Seattle International Film Festival and Best Short Film at Vail Film Festival. It was also in nomination as Best Short Film Audience Award at Fantasia Film Festival, Best Short Film at Oldenburg Film Festival, Best Narrative Short at Tribeca Film Festival and many more.
