Four retired mountaineers reminisce and boast about the crippling injuries they sustained attempting to conquer a mythical mountain in their youth. Their nostalgic ramblings turn to horrors as their wounds seek to consume them.

MOUNTAIN is the short film by Harrison Fleming which is homonymous for Mama Jerk and the Ladyfingers band’s song, written by the frontman Jake Chapman, also being it its music video. It is an incredible animation, a work of impact which remains in your mind after having watched it, thanks to the character design, the drawing style and the use of color. MOUNTAIN perfectly accompanies the song, describing it in every detail, giving life to the four mountaineers and their stories; this short film / music video conveys the characters’ emotions by amplifying them, giving them strong colors, a creepy characterization and great metaphoric images. Unforgettable is the visual of the rose, its red in contrast with the mountaineers’ colors: bloody, scary, striking, always in transformation to symbolize the struggles, the incidents, the monsters inside.

MOUNTAIN won the Special Mention at Amarcort Film Festival 2021 in the Cantarel (music video) category.
