
The European Film Awards are awarded by the European Film Academy every year. Amongst the prizes, there’s the category of Short Films.
To be eligible to candidate, a short film has to be screened in a participating festival; the directors must be born in Europe or have a European passport; the films (of the following genres: fiction, documentary, animation, experimental) must produced or co-produced in at least one European country; maximum running time is of 30 minutes.
Each festival chooses a single candidate for the European Film Awards. The EFAs will be in December 2022, on European Film Academy’s website you can find all the information about submitting and qualifying. Let’s see the list of qualifying festivals.
